Another ACAS service that can be accessed any time in the employment relationship, but which more specifically applies once a tribunal claim has be lodged. In a tribunal situation an ACAS conciliator is automatically consigned to the case and will help you to negotiate a settlement with the employee before any tribunal hearing. Outside of a tribunal situation, conciliation is simply another term for mediation and could be a different way of agreeing a suitable way forward in a tricky employment relations scenario.
