Human Capital Management (HCM)
In a fast changing world, the evolution of HR into HCM is something that has flummoxed even the best of us. HCM is essentially about evaluating the contribution of employees to a business and what value/assets they add to a Company. Unofficially, at Jaluch we would have to question how it is possible for your average HR Manager who has very little access to critical financial information within the business and who therefore lacks the necessary commercial and financial awareness, to make the transition from HR to HCM. For businesses thinking of going down the route of renaming their HR functions, we would advise taking time out to develop the commercial and financial awareness and understanding of HR staff before asking them to play an active part in HCM.
