The psychological contract is very different from the employment contract, it is not explicit or legally binding or written down, but it does represent the beliefs, perceptions, and the ‘deal’ between an employer and an employee. The psychological contract can have a very powerful influence on employees behaviour, as it sets out what employees and employers believe they will get in return for their effort. So perhaps you should consider how best to manage and influence the psychological contract you have with your employees.
