Working Time Regulations

The Working time regulations define the rights employees have to time off, including breaks, holidays and a limit of an average 48 hours a week. Currently UK Law still allows employees to opt out of the 48 hour working week, although this is currently being negotiated in Europe.

The regulations apply to all workers including agency workers. There are specific regulations relating to night-workers, children under 18 and mobile workers.
