Finance Assistant

We are looking for a capable, confident person who wants to combine a finance role with a business analysis role in a small business (which effectively means that you get to get involved with everything at some point!).

This position can be full time or part-time - afternoons preferred (min 4 hours per day, 4 days a week). We are offering a salary of c.£18-22k per year (pro-rata). Home working considered for some or all hours.

As a Finance Assistant you will be responsible for:

Daily activities:

  • Invoicing
  • Statements and Credit control
  • Dealing with queries (Internal and external)
  • Banking (daily reports to MD)
  • Sales figures (daily update
  • Supporting others in team with whatever we have going on

Monthly activities:

  • Month end financial activities
  • Liaising with management accountant
  • Providing payroll with salary information
  • Business analysis for MD including collating and analysing timesheets, client information, analysing sales and other business critical information

Skills and requirements for this role:

  • First and foremost, you will need to be really confident (and competent) with all kinds of technology and great with numbers.
  • You will need to be able to use Sage (or be a very fast learner!), we will teach you how to use our CRM systems.
  • You must be able to produce your own spreadsheets and generally be an Excel whizz.
  • No one in Jaluch is micro-managed so we need someone with great work ethic, an ability to work on your own, but also work well as part of a team - we don't do egos!
  • You must have a desire to keep learning and developing your skills and be an independent thinker as we need the person producing our business stats.
  • An enquiring mind and someone genuinely interested in business as a whole would be perfect.

Social Media & Marketing Assistant 

Salary & Hours: c.£18-22k per year (pro-rata). Full time or Part time hours considered (min 4 hours per day, 4 days a week).

Location: BH24, Ringwood. We are flexible and do allow some homeworking.

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Marketing Executive to join our team. You will be required to assist with daily marketing activities and we would like you to take charge of the development and implementation of our social media strategy. We’re looking for someone who wants to really get to know our business and who has much to bring our business by way of attitude and skills.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Updating and developing all social media channels.
  • Identifying PR opportunities and creating press releases, newsletters, blog posts and articles.
  • Thinking ahead and researching new ideas to engage clients.
  • Supporting with other marketing activities as required.

What you’ll need:

  • A clear passion for and understanding of marketing in modern businesses.
  • Insight about where social media is going next, so we can seek to be one step ahead of the competition.
  • Social media experience and demonstrable marketing skills.
  • A creative and innovative mind.
  • An understanding of digital marketing channels and tools (PPC, Email, SEO).
  • Experience using a website CMS (ideally WordPress).
  • Excellent copy-writing and proofreading skills.
  • A great work ethic plus skills to manage and prioritise own workload without supervision.
  • Personal values that are aligned with our business.


  • A great sense of humour!
  • Marketing/PR experience.
  • Experience using Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
  • Understanding of web & digital technologies including capabilities of desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
