top-tipsTo help you with a positive start to the year, here are some of our suggestions on how to prepare for what this year might bring…

  • Stay in the know – keeping commercially up to date with what changes are taking place this year and when, will help you prepare in advance of having to implement any new employment documentation.
  • Don’t fall behind the trend! – as changes are happening quickly, never assume that what you thought was right yesterday, is still correct today.
  • Make sure you’ve got a practical hat on – this is the time to get out your calendars and calculators and start working out what this year’s paternity pay might cost you.
  • Work with what you’ve got – instead of scrapping the out-of-date documents, review your current policies and procedures and if possible, bring them in line with legislation and changes in processes that they require.
  • Buddy up – find a friend to talk to so you don’t miss out on any key updates, you’ll be pleased to know that we run an HR Networking Club for HR Managers and Directors, so for more information on how to join and when our next meeting is, please do not hesitate to give us a call.
  • Educate – yes, your managers have become accustomed to being able to retire people at 65. Break their habit!
