The Bribery Act
Thursday, 19 May 2011 10:25

top-tipsWith the Bribery Act 2010 finally coming into force this July, here are our Top Tips to ensure that your organisation is ready!

  • Review current policies on hospitality, entertainment, facilitation payments and the giving and receiving of gifts; policies need to be clear, practical, accessible and effectively implemented and enforced.
  • Ensure that your policies are consistent throughout your organisation.
  • Ensure that top management are on board to ensure that the organisation is unified and committed in tackling bribery.
  • Consider training within the organisation to ensure understanding of the Bribery Act.
  • Clearly communicate your anti-bribery policies and procedures.
  • Think about how the anti-bribery policies and procedures are going to be monitored and reviewed in the future.
