Clive is a talented trainer who can impart complex knowledge and information to suit a wide variety of learning preferences. This has particular relevance when delivering financial training to non-financial directors and senior managers.

Clive has over twenty year’s senior financial director experience. He has worked across a range of large corporates spanning several industry sectors to becoming a trusted advisor and leader for many businesses. He has charted a dynamic trajectory from an engineering background to becoming a dynamic and innovative finance director of companies with a turnover of £10m +.

Halagen, the brainchild of Clive, was established in 2005 when he identified a growing unserviced need among SMEs for financial director expertise but without incurring the cost of a full time employee. From experience, Clive clearly knows that all SMEs/businesses, without exception, benefit from the skills set of an experienced financial director. Through Halagen, he has now made this transformational expertise accessible to all businesses.

Specialisms: A signpost, a guiding hand or a forceful decision maker – whatever the situation may require. A chameleon perhaps, but the areas of focus, irrespective of the business size or sector it operates in, is always to led, advise and guide clients, help them make good decisions, sort out issues and bring business to increased profitability.

Strengths: A highly focused leader with powerful business, commercial and financial acumen and excellent people management skills. His style is to influence and persuade, but strong and difficult decision making is no stranger to him.

Interests: Clive has a black belt in Karate, achieved at the age of 52. He is a fully insured Sensei at his local club and has also recently passed his 2nd Dan grading. He also has an unexpected wild side! He is a seasoned biker. Some might say an unlikely looking Harley Davidson fanatic!

Favourite phrase: “The degree of your success is determined by the strength of your belief”.

Oh and don’t tell anyone but…. If Clive had his time again, he’d have liked to have indulged his passion for fixing things by becoming an orthopaedic surgeon.
