Data Protection
This course is suitable for anyone who wants a plain English translation of what the Data Protection Act means for employers. Through a case study approach we will ensure that you will come away understanding the key principles of Data Protection, employee rights and how to avoid the common pitfalls.

In order to achieve this we keep the session extremely participative focussing on the Company's needs balanced against legislative requirements. Handouts and checklists are provided to ensure that important aspects of the legislation are not overlooked.

By the end of the session attendees will have a basic understanding of the Data Protection Act 1998 and DPA Codes of Practice including how that affects management practices.
