TUPE (Transfer of Undertakings and Protection of Employment) - Managing staff during business aquisitions and sales
This workshop aims to provide managers with an overview of the legal requirements and responsibilities of the Company in TUPE transfer situations, and to provide practical guidance and advice on how to deal with the often complex employee relations issues that can arise as a result of a TUPE transfer.
The course is interactive and a combination of case studies, discussion of real life examples, and practical exercises are used to raise awareness of both the legal and practical considerations of TUPE, highlighting the importance and value of developing an integrated culture to avoid potential employee relations issues.
Topics covered include:

- Pre-transfer activities, including consultation and planning the what, when and how.
- The importance of due diligence - finding out what you're letting yourself in for!
- What TUPE means for the new employer - liabilities and responsibilities
- Managing the employee relations' aspects - keeping people on side and taking a "pick and mix" approach to integrating different cultures!
