Jaluch is delighted to offer some fantastic e-learning training programmes which encompass our passion for training and bring the materials alive for your delegates.
One of the biggest criticisms that we have heard about e-learning is that it is boring and not relevant for the learner; therefore over time people have become sceptical about its use and benefit to a business. We have found a way to ensure that it is fun and relevant, making the most of cutting edge electronic mediums and techniques.
Running specific courses online, such as equality and diversity awareness, can be a very cost effective way of reaching a wide audience in an organisation, particularly where having undertaken the training is vital for technical or legal compliance.
Even quick quizzes can be conducted through E-Learning and quite often interactive tasks can form part of a Blended Learning approach to training and development.
Jaluch are members of the eLearning Network and we are very passionate about the inclusion of E-Learning into our training programmes. We make use of trusted technologies such as Moodle, Joomla and DimDim which can be quickly implemented to bring you E-Learning that your employees will find engaging, relevant and professional.
Here is some more information on typical E-Learning solutions that we can provide for you:
Virtual Classrooms / Message Boards
The term Virtual Classroom refers to an internet tool for training in which the trainer uploads material such as course notes, presentations, quizzes and videos and the delegate accesses that information from a different location, perhaps even at a different time, meaning the that training does not take place ‘live’.
Part of a Virtual Classroom may be a Message Board or other forum for sharing thoughts and comments. In addition there may be a chat room element to the Virtual Classroom allowing interaction between the trainer and the delegates in real time.
We have found the option of receiving training via a Virtual Classroom to be very appealing to those based in disparate locations, or overseas and we have seen how it allows a good flow of information between delegates who may not ever meet in the real world and who would be unable to physically take part in the training otherwise.
Using a virtual space for training can be very beneficial in terms of cost and the use of multi media to deliver training enhances the experience so that it can be an appropriate medium for training for a range of topics.
Where group exercises would be the most useful means of learning, our trainers are skilled in ensuring that individuals still receive the benefits of interaction, even though they are online. For example, a quiz may be used and each delegate will give their answers using their computer - the trainer is able to see their choices and feed back; it is also possible that an individual’s answers remain anonymous to the rest of the group if the trainer feels this is the right approach.
Jaluch actively promotes ‘best practise’ for this type of training; for example a virtual classroom session would normally last no longer than 40 minutes to allow for concentration and maximum learning by the delegates. We would often use this medium via a Blended Learning programme as part of the overall approach, as it does not allow for practical exercises.
Wikis
Jaluch can help you to create a Wiki, which are simple web pages that groups can collaborate on and edit together. They are a very useful and informal way of sharing information. We have found a Wiki to be particularly effective when sharing course notes, feedback and thoughts on training and in facilitating discussion on new ideas and concepts that are generated by training.
Wikis allow your organisation to work collaboratively in many aspects of business, but real benefit may be gained from the ability to share and develop knowledge acquired through training via the use of a company Wiki.
It is possible to set up a Wiki to support any training that we deliver for your organisation. |
