Developing Independent Thinking Skills
Independent thinking is an incredibly valuable, although often underestimated skill in the workplace. In the modern world, there is a tendency for people to rely on others for answers – to turn to the web for a 30-second answer or to turn to the most recent business process or procedure to guide their actions.
In this developing independent thinking skills course, delegates will spend time really understanding why independent thinking is so important and how they can personally improve their skills and abilities. They will also consider the organisational culture that’s currently in place and how they can overcome personal and organisational blockers. The delegates will spend some time action planning for the future to make sure that they are clear and committed to putting in place their new found skills and knowledge.
As with all our training courses, we will work with you to develop the perfect agenda to suit your needs but we have included an example of what is typically included below:
- Introduction to independent thinking skills
- The benefits of independent thinking
- Organisational blocks to independent thinking
- The process to develop our skills
- Developing confidence in our own ideas
- Learning how to see things that others do not see
- The Status Quo
- Your inner creativity
- Problem Solving
- Evaluation and analysis
- From idea to presentation
- Your 6-12 month development plan
