What's at the end of our rainbow?
I have been running an HR and Training business for 20 years. It’s been quite some journey and along the way I have met some fantastic people, peeped into an incredible plethora of businesses each with their own unique culture, developed my skills beyond all expectation and employed staff who have frequently amazed and delighted me. And my vision for Jaluch across the next 20 years remains that simple: to inspire and be inspired, to develop great relationships both internal and external, and for everyone who works here or comes into contact with us to continually learn and grow. But beyond all that, what is most important for me is to find time to laugh, each and every day. I don’t care about the wrinkles or laughter lines, humour amidst great relationships and a dollop of learning is Jaluch’s pot of gold.

Jaluch's pot of gold
It's all very well amassing a pot of gold in business, but what do you then do with it? At Jaluch, nothing gives us greater pleasure than using our ‘pot of gold’ to give back. Our chosen venture is Global Fountain, a social enterprise we will be setting up to support people around the world who can’t find employment through usual channels and so need to develop the skills and confidence to set up and run a business of their own. A business of their own which will enable them to achieve a level of financial independence.
Whether it’s someone coming out of the armed forces, leaving prison, moving out of the sex industry etc. self employment is a good option to earn money to be self sufficient. Its also a great option for those with no academic qualifications, a disability, the homeless, plus of course those who are post normal retirement age, young entrepreneurs and women (and carers) who don’t want to, or can’t, fit into the usual world of work.
