What's at the end of our rainbow?

I have been running an HR and Training business for 20 years. It’s been quite some journey and along the way I have met some fantastic people, peeped into an incredible plethora of businesses each with their own unique culture, developed my skills beyond all expectation and employed staff who have frequently amazed and delighted me. And my vision for Jaluch across the next 20 years remains that simple: to inspire and be inspired, to develop great relationships both internal and external, and for everyone who works here or comes into contact with us to continually learn and grow. But beyond all that, what is most important for me is to find time to laugh, each and every day. I don’t care about the wrinkles or laughter lines, humour amidst great relationships and a dollop of learning is Jaluch’s pot of gold.

It's all very well amassing a pot of gold in business, but what do you then do with it? At Jaluch, nothing gives us greater pleasure than using our ‘pot of gold’ to give back.

Last year we invested a lot of time supporting the homeless, running weekly cooking sessions in a homeless shelter for those who wanted to learn to cook for themselves. We also fund raised £40,000 for medical supplies which are heading to the Lalibela Medical Centre in Ethiopia.

Currently we are supporting villagers in Nepal, following a visit to the village where £1000+ was raised to help with a vital uplift project.

But our long term chosen venture is Global Fountain, a social enterprise we will be setting up to support people around the world who can’t find employment through usual channels and so need to develop the skills and confidence to set up and run a  business of their own. The end goal being a business of their own which will enable them to achieve a level of financial independence.
